The Digital Financial Literacy Expo (DFL 1.0), organized by the APU AKPK Club from the School of Accounting & Finance, was a groundbreaking initiative aimed at raising awareness and enhancing knowledge about digital financial services and investment platforms. Held from May 2nd to May 5th, 2023, at the Atrium, Level 3 of Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), the event brought together industry experts, students, and faculty to explore the evolving landscape of digital finance.
Tokenize Malaysia’s Contribution: A Glimpse into the Future of Digital Investment
On May 3rd, 2023, Tokenize Malaysia had the honor of participating as a guest speaker in a forum titled “FinTech in Alternative Investment – How Safe is it for Individual Investors?”. The session, led by Ms. Shelly Kwong, provided an in-depth introduction to our Tokenize App and the world of cryptocurrencies. During her talk, Ms. Kwong shared valuable insights into the future of digital investment platforms in Malaysia, the challenges they face, and strategies to overcome these hurdles. She also provided an overview of Tokenize Malaysia, emphasizing how our platform is designed to meet the evolving needs of individual investors.
Strong Participation and Positive Outcomes
The event saw the participation of 33 students, all of whom were pursuing studies in Accounting and Finance, with a major in FinTech. Tokenize Malaysia shared the stage with Akru, a leading robo-advisor platform, fostering proactive engagement between the speakers, students, and lecturers. The interaction was vibrant, with attendees showing keen interest in the topics discussed.
DFL 1.0 was more than just an expo—it was a step towards empowering the next generation of investors with the knowledge and tools they need to navigate the digital financial landscape.
